The Sunshed starts at $17,500, with stain, delivery, and optional interconnection priced during your follow-up call. A $250 deposit reserves your place in the build queue, refundable until you give us the go-ahead to order materials.
How does the deposit work?
After you submit the form above, we'll email you an invoice for a $250 deposit and schedule a brief consult call — no payment is taken on this page. The deposit is fully refundable until you give us the go-ahead to order materials for your shed, which normally happens on that consult call; at that point we collect the remainder of the payment.
Do I need a foundation or a construction crew?
No. The Sunshed is an 8-by-16-foot garden shed built on skids. It arrives whole on the back of a truck, slides into a sunny spot, and a single electrician connects it to your house in a day, typically by trenching one line.
How much power does a solar shed produce?
About 4.4 kilowatts: nine high-output panels on the roof and two semi-translucent panels as its windows. In the annual average, that's enough to power a small home, even under the snow and cloud cover of a northern climate.
What if I need more power later?
Every Sunshed carries an expansion hub with eight receptacles on its back. To add capacity, you set another unit somewhere nearby — a second shed, or another structure in the line — and plug it in. No new engineering, no trenching, no electrician. A 'grove' can reach 25 kW, enough to power three average American homes.
What can I use the shed for?
Anything a really nice outbuilding is for: a workshop, studio, gear room, storage shed, or guest space. It's a finished, hand-built timber building that happens to also generate your power.
